Election 2010: Still time to send in PUD, airport questions for next week’s forum

KINGS BEACH, Calif. and#8212; The Sierra Sun and North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to host a candidate forum next week for local Placer county-specific races.

The forum is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the North Tahoe Events Center, and it features three races:

and#8226; One seat on the Tahoe City Public Utility District

and#8226; One seat on the North Tahoe Public Utility District

and#8226; Two seats on the Truckee Tahoe Airport District

Questions will come from both those submitted beforehand from residents to the Sierra Sun, as well as others crafted from Sierra Sun staff.

Index cards will also be made available for attendants to write their own questions, and when the list of reader and Sierra Sun questions expires, should there be enough time, non-repetitive questions submitted by the audience will be asked.

People interested in submitting questions should e-mail them to Sun Managing Editor Kevin MacMillan at kmacmillan@sierrasun.com. Questions via e-mail should have and#8220;candidate forum questionand#8221; in the subject line. The deadline for questions is Monday, Oct. 11.
