Election 2012: Official final results for Measure J, Truckee/North Tahoe races

Staff report

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. – Earlier this month and in October, thousands of locals cast votes for a variety of national, state and local races. As is the case in California each election year, the results tallied on Election Night are semi-official, due to a number of votes still to be counted.

Locally, roughly 40,000 to 50,000 vote-by-mail and other ballots were outstanding after Election Day, Nov. 6, for all of Nevada and Placer counties, according to each county’s election office. Last Friday, each county published the official final results, 17 days after Election Day 2012.

Below are the final official results for the six races of interest for North Tahoe and Truckee voters, along with the Measure J aquatics and performing arts center bond proposal.
