Election 2016: Record early voting turnout for Washoe County

Staff report

RENO, Nev. — The Washoe County Registrar’s Office reported Monday that a record 129,727 people in Washoe County voted early for the General Election.

The previous record was 111,189 early voters for the 2012 General Election, according to the county.

Registered voters who did not vote early (early voting wrapped on Friday) can do so during Tuesday’s General Election at one of Washoe Countyy’s 86 polling locations.

Each voter registered in Washoe County will have from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. PST Nov. 8 to cast a ballot at his/her assigned polling place.

Voters who are unsure where their polling places are can find that information on the back of their sample ballots or by visiting http://www.washoecounty.us/voters.

Voters are asked to fill out their sample ballots ahead of time to help speed up the voting process at the polls.

If registered voters have any questions about their sample ballot or anything else General Election- related, they should contact the Washoe County Registrar of Voters Office at 775-328-3670.
