Elko tops Truckee, 8-4, to force decisive game Saturday for 3A baseball title

RENO, Nev. and#8212; The Truckee High School baseball team is headed to a do-or-die game Saturday after losing this morning to Elko High School in the Nevada 3A State Championship tournament.

Elko defeated the Wolverines, 8-4, Saturday morning at Peccole Park on the campus of University of Nevada, Reno.

The loss was Truckeeand#8217;s first of the State Championship tournament. The two teams, both with a loss, now play again, with the winner being crowned state champion. First pitch is expected at about noon.
