Embezzlement suspect may be in Truckee

Roseville Police received a tip that a woman suspected of embezzling thousands of dollars from her former employer may be in the Truckee or Kings Beach area.

Roseville authorities have asked for the public’s help in locating Delana Hope Blas, 43. She is suspected of appropriating $44,000 over an 18-month period from an ornamental iron works company in Roseville, said Roseville Police Officer Dee Dee Gunther in a department news release.

Authorities said Blas was employed as an office manager and allegedly used the company credit card to pay for personal items, such as home computer equipment.

She is also suspected of issuing herself extra paychecks.

Placer County has issued a warrant for the arrest of Blas, who also goes by the alias Pitts and Rader.

Blas is a white female, 5-7 tall, approximately 130 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes, said Gunther in the release.

Those with information about Blas’ whereabouts can contact the Truckee Police Department at 550-2320.
