Family Park Days at Truckee Regional Park 

Bring the whole family to the Truckee Regional Park playground for some recreational games like tug-of-war, freeze tag, water relays, and more. 

It is free to participate in this games for the whole family, which are held at 10 a.m. every Saturday from July 29- Sept. 30, weather permitting.

Music on the Beach at Kings Beach State Recreation Area



Spend your 2023 summer weekends having with music at the beach starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday nights, with the next show set for Friday, July 28, at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area. 

This free music series is dedicated to Pam Emmerich, who was essential to the creation and development of Music on the Beach as well as the growth of the North Tahoe Business Association. 

This Friday, Blu Egyptian will be performing. This youthful quartet is based out of Chico, Calif., and have gained a reputation for their high energy shows with extended multi-genre jams, meaningful songwriting, and entertaining stage antics. 

Their sound is a unique fusion of funk, bluegrass, reggae, wold music, rock n’ roll, EDM, and more.

Gathering at the Garden – Plant Painting and Potluck 

Bring your best summer dish to a potluck and painting class hosted by local artist Nicole Stirling at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29 at the North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista. 

The fee is $20 per person, or is included with a community garden membership. Supplies will be provided. 

Learn techniques that are great for painting plants and leave with your canvas you bought to life through the beauty of plants in the community garden.

Live music at Glasses Wine Bar

Jonathan Hennion will be playing live at Glasses Wine Bar at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 29. 

With a great voice and incredibly skills on the guitar, this show is one you don’t want to miss. 

Reservations are recommended, and bar seating is available. Make sure to grab a drink and listen to the beautiful melodies from Hennion.

Live music at Crystal Bay Club Casino

Head over to the Crystal Bay Club Casino at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 29, for a tribute to Fleetwood Mac with Fleetwood Macrame. 

Tickets to this 21-plus show are $17 in advanced, and $20 the day of the show. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will be held in the Crown Room.

Classical Tahoe: Adventure Awaits

The 2023 Classical Tahoe festival presents four weeks of outdoor orchestra, chamber music, and jazz concerts in the stunning settings of the north shore. 

Concerts will be held at the Pavilion on the campus of University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe, where 70 virtuoso musicians from top orchestras from around the country will perform for music lovers of all ages. 

There are multiple shows scheduled, with ticket prices ranging anywhere from $20-$200.

Music in the Park 

The Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District is proud to present the Music in the Park series, happening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Truckee Regional “Salty” Gebhardt Amphitheater. 

This free music series features different artists and groups every week, with Boot Juice scheduled to perform on Wednesday, Aug. 2. 

While this series is free, donations are welcome. Contributions of any amount help ensure a full schedule of concert dates, as event costs continue to raise. 

There is no smoking and no dogs allowed, and children should be supervised at all times. Picnics are welcome, but glass is not.

Tam’s Record Swap & Sale at Alibi Ale Works 

Tam’s Record Sale & Swap is back at Alibi Ale Works Truckee Public House at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2.  

You can swap or purchase epic records from Tam’s massive vinyl collection. 

Disco Cat will be their spinning records and bringing the grooviest vibes. There will be great tunes, great food, including pizza from the new pizza oven available for purchase, and great beer.

Truckee Thursdays 

Truckee Thursdays are a feel-good event that invites the community to enjoy the wonderful downtown summertime energy. 

From 5-8 p.m. on Thursdays, with the next date on Aug. 3, there is a stage that offers live music, a food court with a great selection of eats, children’s actives, a beer garden, and a wide variety of artisan vendors available for guests to enjoy. 

In addition, there will be sidewalk sales and other activities hosted by downtown merchants, and plenty of places to relax with family and friends. 

Truckee Trails Foundation will be hosting a complimentary bike valet in the Trout Creek Pocket Park across from Alibi Ale Works. 

In addition, Alibi Ale Works will be hosting an after party with Pipe down from 8:30-11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3. 

The party will feature live music and plenty of drinks for purchase, so make sure to stop by and check it out.
