League to Save Lake Tahoe names new development director

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Following a competitive national search, the League to Save Lake Tahoe recently announced the hiring of Erica Mirich as its director of development.

Having most recently served as senior director of annual giving for the Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, Calif., Mirich will be returning to Lake Tahoe, where she had previously served as director of development for the Lake Tahoe School in Incline Village.

Mirich also holds a master’s degree in science education from Harvard and brings classroom experience as a science educator.

“We look forward to welcoming Erica to the Keep Tahoe Blue team. Her passion for the lake and unique experience with both environmental education as well as relationship building will be an asset to not only the League but to Tahoe,” said Darcie Goodman Collins, Ph.D., the League’s executive director.

Mirich’s first day will be March 28. She will join the League’s leadership team of directors, which includes Goodman Collins, Deputy Director Jesse Patterson and Finance Director Karen Hodges.

“I look forward to connecting people to our mission, securing support for critical programs, and being a conduit for people who want to have a meaningful impact on something they care about — keeping Tahoe blue now and for the future,” Mirich said. “It matters on so many levels, to so many people near and far. It is an honor to represent the League.”
