Faces & Places: Humane Society’s Santa paws, Tahoe Maritime mixer, Project MANA Thanksgiving

Movers and shakers mixed it up a the Tahoe Maritime Museums joint Truckee Donner and North Lake Tahoe chamber mixer, held Nov. 20.We were really happy with the attendance, said Nicole Cheslock, director of education and outreach. More than 150 folks attended. David Smitty Smith, who is usually coordinating educational programs for the museum, whipped out an array of food that pleased the palettes of more than 150 guests.Many guests were first time visitors, duly impressed by the warm ambiance in addition to the spectacular displays of Lake Tahoes boating history. The building itself has a natural warm glow, and is especially welcoming with the fireplace going, said Cheslock. We hope to see the guests again, as the museum is open for activities all winter.
