Fall storm forecast to dump 3-5 inches of snow in Truckee area late Sunday evening

A fall storm is forecast to dump 3-5 inches of fresh powder in the Truckee area on Sunday night, Nov. 26. Another 1-2 inches is possible on Monday, Nov. 27, the National Weather Service Office in Reno said on Friday, Nov. 24.
The snowfall is most likely late Sunday evening. The snowfall is also forecast to ride the back of wind in excess of 20 mph.
The high for Sunday should be near 53 degrees with a low around 25. The high Monday should be near 40 degrees with a low around 21 degrees.
