Fire-weather watch canceled
The National Weather Service in Reno has canceled its fire-weather watch.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected across the Tahoe Basin south to Mono County this afternoon. However, the Weather Service said that all storms will be wet with the potential to produce heavy rain. Any dry lightning strikes outside the storm cores will be limited today, according to forecasters, therefore the fire weather watch has been canceled.
