Florence Isabel Warren Waters

Florence Isabel Warren Waters passed away on August 10, 2010, in Sandy, Utah. She was born to Arthur and Millicent Campion Warren in San Francisco, California, on August 22, 1916. In 1942, Florence moved to Truckee, California, where she resided until 1975. During these years, she was active in the Truckee Firettes and was a member of the Eastern Star. She owned and operated Truckeeand#8217;s Gateway Cafe and the Gateway Laundromat. Florence also worked for Pacific Bell, Tahoe Forest Hospital, Besioand#8217;s Italian Restaurant, and Toniniand#8217;s Gateway Liquor Store. For the past three decades, Florence has resided in Arizona, but returned to Truckee every year for the beautiful summer months.

Florence was preceded in death (by just nine days) by her partner of 27 years, Terry Allen Druliner, who passed away on August 1, 2010. They were and#8220;together in life, together in death.and#8221;

Florence is survived by her children: Kathryn Williams, South Jordan, Utah; Gary Waters (Nancy), Truckee, and Robin Waters, Oakley, California. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Matson. Florence leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.



Private services were held on August 11, 2010, in South Jordan, Utah. Internment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, San Francisco, California.
