Flores recognized for service at Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe
KINGS BEACH, Calif. — At this year’s Boys & Girls Clubs Of America’s Pacific Leadership conference in Reno, Nev., Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe Board Member Dan Flores received the “Outstanding Contribution Award” for his service.
Dan was recognized at the conference on Sept. 18 in front of 500 Boys & Girls Club professionals and Board Members from all over the Pacific region.
“It is truly inspiring to work with someone so dedicated to seeing kids in our community succeed, said BGNLT Executive Director Mindy Carbajal. He is currently Vice President of the board, and is involved in every aspect of club support. He has played a pivotal role in the recruitment of new board members, is a knowledgeable resource for club safety, and he volunteers at every event.
Board President, John Neary, said of Dan, “He is sort of the quiet heartbeat of the BGC Board of Directors and has been so for his 11 years of service.”
Carbajal enthused, “You could say Dan bleeds Boys & Girls Club blue!”
The BGCNLT staff, board and club kids congratulate Dan and thank him for all he does for the club kids and community.
