Flu vaccines available for Incline residents, businesses

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District and Incline Village Community Hospital are offering flu vaccinations to individuals over the age of 8 beginning Sept. 22 for as long as supplies last.

Each vaccine is $30, payable by cash or check. If you are a Medicare patient, billing will also be available so please bring your card so a copy can be made to submit for insurance reimbursement.

Vaccines administered by NLTFPD will be offered at the district’s main station at 875 Tanager St. Walk-ins are welcome.

Vaccines will not be available at the Crystal Bay or Mount Rose Stations.

Fire district personnel also are available to visit homes or businesses by appointment. There is no additional charge for this service; the $3 fee still applies.

Note that vaccines are only for individuals 8 years of age and older; the hospital and fire district recommend younger children be taken to their pediatrician.

NLTFPD will also partner with IVCH to give flu shots at these upcoming events:

Oktoberfest: Village Shopping Center, 774 Mays Blvd., Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Incliners: The Chateau, 955 Fairway Blvd., Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 4-6 p.m.
