Alan F. Kruck

Alan F. Kruck died on May 10. He was 44.

Born in Oakland, Calif., he had moved to Truckee in the early 1980s. He had lived at Northstar-at-Tahoe for the past 15 years, and worked for many years with the Northstar Ski Race Department. He was also self-employed as an electrical contractor.

Alan loved the outdoors and was an avid skier, golfer and wind surfer.

He is survived by his parents, Chaz and Jean Kruck of Roseville; sister Debbie, Pam and Barbara, brother Chaz, twin brother Brad, and many nieces and nephews.

A private family service was held in Roseville on Sunday, May 13.

Friends are invited to a celebration of Alan’s life at the Northstar Swim and Racquet Club on Saturday, May 19 at 5 p.m.

Patsy Rose Walker

Patsy Rose Walker died Monday, May 14 at Tahoe Forest Hospital. She was 70.

A longtime resident of Oceanside, Calif., she had lived in Truckee for three years. She was a graduate of Paloma College, and had worked as a registered nurse for various hospitals in Southern California, working in burn units, pediatrics, and AIDS and drug rehabilitation units.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Miller.

She is survived by daughters Elaine Miller Payne of Reno; Danette Miller of Stanton; Susan Miller and Judy Miller, both of Truckee, and Virgnia Miller of Incline Village. She is also survived by sister Laura Anderson of Baltimore and former husband Jake Miller of Vista, Calif.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 18 at 11 a.m. at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1999 El Camino Real in Oceanside.

Funeral arrangements were made by Truckee-Tahoe Mortuary.

Mary Ann Ravey

A memorial service for Mary Ann Ravey, who passed away Dec. 19, 2000, will be held Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at Church of the Mountains. Following the services a reception will be held at Tahoe Donner main clubhouse. All friends and acquaintances of the Ravey family are invited. For details call (530) 550-1748.
