Forecast: Chance of light snow on Sunday night, Monday morning in Truckee

A fast-moving storm could generate some snow for local ski resorts in the Truckee area, the National Weather Service Office in Reno said on Sunday, Feb. 11.
There is an 80 percent chance of snow after 4 p.m. on Sunday with total daytime accumulation of less than a half inch. New snow accumulation of less than an inch is possible overnight. The high for Sunday should be near 44 degrees, with a low of 21 degrees, a southwest wind of 15-20 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph.
There is a 50 percent chance of scattered snow showers for Monday, Feb. 12. There is no snow in the forecast for the remainder of the week.
