Forecast: Snow accumulations of 6-12 inches above 7,000 feet in Lake Tahoe area
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, to 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, the National Weather Service Office in Reno said Saturday, Nov. 25.
“Snow and strong winds expected. Plan on slippery road conditions including during the morning commute on Monday,” the National Weather Service Office said in a statement.
“Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are expected above 7,000 feet. Below 7,000 feet, up to 3 inches of snow are possible, with locally up to 6 inches west of highway 89.”
The heaviest snowfall is likely to occur between 10 p.m. Sunday and 4 a.m. Monday.
