Former Nevada County prosecutor announces run for district attorney

Former Nevada County Assistant District Attorney Glenn Jennings announced Monday that he’ll run against his former boss for district attorney.
Jennings, 61, has served as a prosecutor for over 20 years. He worked under current District Attorney Cliff Newell from 2014 to October 2015.
“I saw my opponent hadn’t drawn a candidate or opposition, and I couldn’t stand by the sidelines without giving voters a choice,” Jennings said.
