The Incline Village Health Clinic offers a twice-yearly free dental screening for children ages one to 14.

Screenings include a comprehensive dental examination by Dr. Matthew Gustafson of Tahoe Forest Health System; topical fluoride applications administered by dental hygiene students from Truckee Meadows Community College; and referrals to participating dental offices in the area.

The next clinic is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at the clinic, located on the second floor of Incline Village Community Hospital at 880 Alder Ave.

The clinic is offered to children ages 1 to 14, and they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Some children may receive referrals for further treatment, according to the hospital. This follow-up care is provided by three area dentists and the Community Health Alliance in Reno.

Referral dentists agree to offer discounted care, based on a sliding scale, up to and including pro bono services.
