Free fun run, trail-running demo event Sunday in Tahoe City

Residents and visitors can test trail-running gear like these shoes at Sunday's fun run.

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — On Sunday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Alpenglow Sports and popular trail running brand Hoka One One will host a fun run and free demo event in Tahoe City.

Known for the creation of the “maximalist” trail shoe category, Hoka One One will be on hand with demos of its popular new models the Challenger ATR, Clifton, Constant, Mafate Speed, and Stinson ATR.

In conjunction with the free demo, Alpenglow Sports will lead a community fun run on the Tahoe Rim Trail at 10 a.m. The run will be mellow and about 5-6 miles long.

While the demo is free, a credit card and driver’s license are required to test equipment. Runners of all ages and ability levels are encouraged to attend.
