Robert "Fro" Frohlich
ALL |

Robert Frohlich, a.k.a. “Fro,” has been diagnosed with severe stomach cancer. Fro has undergone one surgery to eradicate the cancer and will go through more surgeries as well as chemo therapy. He is presently at Tahoe Forest Hospital.

Fro has been a friend and steward of the Lake Tahoe community and the sailing community for many years and now he needs our help. He does not have insurance and needs assistance with health bills and living expenses.

Tahoe Sailing Charters will be holding a benefit for Fro this Sunday, Sept. 28. There will be a Sunset Sailing Charter aboard the Santa Cruz 50, “Tahoe Cruz” followed by a potluck, cocktail party at the Tahoe Yacht Club.

The sailing charter will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and includes wine, beer, and appetizers. This will sellout to the first 25 people at $60 per person with all money going to FRO. Please call 583-6200 for reservations.

The benefit at the Tahoe Yacht Club will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is a potluck, cocktail party, and raffle to benefit Fro. Bring a dish to share. Donations for the raffle are greatly appreciated, they may be brought to the TYC anytime this week. We hope to see all of the TYC sailors at this event to benefit one of our own. Please call Tahoe Sailing Charters at 583-6200 with any questions.

If people would like to donate please contact El Dorado Savings Bank at 583-3710 for information about the fund under the name of Robert Frohlich. For additional information, visit http://www.sailtahoe.com.
