INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Are you trying to shed those extra pounds you gained this winter as cold weather insulation? Want to hear of a fool proof way to look and feel your best this summer?

If you answered yes, then this article is right up your alley! With springtime upon us and beach season right around the corner, it’s time to start bringing out your warm weather, get beach-bod ready and start juicing.

Juicing is not just a fad. It has real benefits that greatly increase the immune system and immensely help with weight control. The majority of us do not get our recommended 6-8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, but through juicing, you can easily get your daily intake.

Using a good juicer and drinking your veggies and fruit is a proven way to lose weight quickly while giving your body what it needs to stay healthy. Hollywood celebrities have been juicing for years to reduce weight for movie roles and photo shoots.

Here are a few recipes for you try:

Glowing Green Juice

Providing a powerful boost to your immune system, fresh green juice gives your body a mega dose of nutrients. This recipe will have you feeling like you have more energy, able to fight off colds and the flu faster and your skin will have a fabulous, healthy glow.

Ingredients

(Whenever possible, opt for organic produce)

1 cup spinach

1 cup kale

1 cucumber

3 sticks of celery

1 apple

1/2 lemon

1 inch cube ginger root

Add spinach and kale to juicer and follow it with cucumber, celery and apple. Add the lemon and ginger. Enjoy this fabulous, revitalizing refreshment!

Slimming Drink

This will invigorate your whole body, lower blood pressure, aid digestion, boost the immune and eliminate toxins. And is also great in helping your body handle stress.

2 oranges

1/2 lemon

3.5 oz beetroot

3.5 oz spinach

3.5 oz celery

3.5 oz carrot

1 inch cube ginger root

Peel the orange and lemon, then juice with the rest of the ingredients. This makes about 2 large glasses. Cut in half if you only want one glass.

Smile, It’s Morning Smoothie

One of my personal favorites and a great way to start your day!

2 large oranges, skin removed

1 medium grapefruit, skin removed

6 strawberries

1/2 banana

2 tablespoons flavorless protein powder

1/4 cup ice

Be sure to always drink your juice immediately. If needed, store in a glass container with an air-tight lid for up to 24 hours. Fresh juice will help you lose weight when you use it as a meal replacement and don’t just add a glass of juice to a fattening diet.

When your body has nutrition it functions better. A body that is nutritionally complete will have more energy. If you have more energy you are able to do more things such as exercise. Making healthy choices like juicing will help making good choices easier throughout the day.

If you have a favorite juicing recipe, please share with me, I would love to hear from you.
