The survey was intended to give an informational report to the citizens of Nevada County.

The investigation focused on food, shelter and the adequacy of resources relative to the need. The Jury found there are a number of services provided by nonprofit organizations as well as some local businesses.

The Jury fell short of mandating more government services, and instead encouraged county residents to support the needy through their organization of choice with money, food and time, so that services supporting the homeless and needy can be provided year-round.
