Granite Place, the new residential development at Boulder Bay Resort in Crystal Bay on Lake Tahoe, has announced the launch of sales of its luxury residences.

The project is the first new residential development in Tahoe, according to developers, and is located on the Nevada side of the California-Nevada border.

“Crystal Bay has a rich history as the preferred Tahoe destination for many of old Hollywood’s elite, including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Marilyn Monroe and more. Now, Crystal Bay is at the forefront of Tahoe’s future,” said Developer of Granite Place at Boulder Bay Resort Roger Wittenberg in a press release.

“The first offering in the grand vision of Boulder Bay, Granite Place is a major milestone in the renaissance of the area. We believe that with new, sustainable developments such as Boulder Bay, our beloved Crystal Bay will soon be experiencing a new heyday. We look forward to welcoming new residents to the property and showcasing all that this magnificent destination has to offer.”

Granite Place will feature 18 luxury residences across three buildings, and includes a pet wash, cutting-edge exercise facility and a spa. Each of the property’s Lake, Mountain and Park buildings include two- to four-bedroom condominiums ranging from 1,641 to 2,718 square feet, and feature sweeping lake views and a contemporary aesthetic. Prices range from $1,650,000 to $2,900,000.

“Owning at Granite Place has many advantages, especially when it comes to Nevada’s taxation laws,” said Heather Bacon, developer of Granite Place at Boulder Bay Resort, in a press release. “Nevada continues to have one of the least burdensome tax structures in the nation, offering buyers the opportunity to invest or live at Granite Place while taking advantage of Lake Tahoe’s tax-free north shore.”

With sustainability of paramount importance to the development team, emphasis has been placed on an infrastructure and energy management program that includes state-of-the-art environmental technologies. The project uses best practices including enhanced thermal, visual and acoustical comfort, increased window sizes for natural light, careful selection of environmentally friendly products, and the use of natural and durable materials.

Boulder Bay is a Silver LEED certified mixed-use redevelopment project including improvements such as state-of-the-art water filtration and capture systems. The water facility runs alongside the full length of the building and is about 15 feet deep and 10 feet wide through an undergound cave with a core stone/gravel bottom. Prior to entering the vault, there is a certripicol separator that removes debris from the water. All storm water is stored underground in the absorption vaults and snowmelt is sent to lake by percolating through the porous ground.

The Boulder Bay vision includes a 275-room five-star hotel, 20,000 square-foot wellness spa, 20,000 square-feet of meeting space, boutique shops and galleries, a boutique casino and more luxurious residences.

Granite Place at Boulder Bay Resort is located at 1 Big Water Drive, Crystal Bay. For more information on Granite Place, visit boulderbaytahoe.com or call 775-413-5021.
