Thursday Feb. 19: 5:30 to 7 p.m., Sierra Family Services, 2690 Lake Forest Road (Second Floor), Tahoe City. Learn to successfully manage your stress around money issues. Personal financial issues are the primary cause of stress and conflict for families, couples and individuals. In this seven-week group, you will learn some basic family financial assessment and organizing skills, giving you more control over your finances. We will also focus on the emotions around money that drive our spending and saving habits. Saturday Feb. 21: Sugar Bowl is teaming up with Boarding for Breast Cancer and The HERA Foundation to race and jam for the cure on Feb. 21, 2009. The resort will be holding a rail jam in the Switching Yard Terrain Park. All entry fees from these events will go to help find a cure for breast cancer and ovarian cancer. An Olympic Swimmers Perspective, Tahoe Center for Health and Sports Performance (TCHSP), 10710 Donner Pass Road.Debbie Meyer joined Johnny Weismuller, Mark Spitz and Don Schollander when she was named among the worlds best swimmers of the century. At the age of 16, Debbie was the first swimmer to win three individual gold medals during the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City in the 200m, 400m, and 800m freestyle. Debbie held five world records and broke twenty world records. Debbie has been inducted into multiple Hall of Fames, including the US Olympic Hall of Fame and Womens International Sports Hall of Fame and International Swimming Hall of Fame. Debbie is the current coach for the Truckee-Tahoe Swim Team.Come listen and learn the social, physical and mental aspects of the sport from one of the greatest female swimmers of all time!
