Due to the and#8220;Hot August Nightsand#8221; event in Reno, most traffic-interfering work will be limited from 12 noon on Thursday, August 11 through 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 14.

Interstate 80 Donner Rest Areas (Nevada County) Work continues to replace both rest areas. When this $3.4 million project is complete, the facilities and parking will be upgraded to meet the demands of the more than three million annual visitors and will be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Work is expected to be completed on the westbound rest area by mid-summer 2011. Expected completion for the eastbound rest area is late fall 2011.

State Highway 49 (Nevada County) Work has begun on the $29 million Highway 49/La Barr Meadows Project that will widen State Route 49 to four lanes between Little Valley Road and Norambagua Way, just south of Grass Valley. The project includes a signalized intersection at La Barr Meadows Road, widening of shoulders, right- turn pockets and new sound walls. Completion is expected by fall 2012.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) between Pingree Road and Cornette Way. Motorists can expect intermittent one-way traffic controls from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled for excavation work.

Interstate 80 (Placer and Nevada Counties) from Carpenter Flat to Hampshire Rock: Work continues on the $167 million Emigrant Gap project on Interstate 80. Work includes total roadway replacement with Portland Cement Concrete, improving the drainage systems and installing new sediment/debris collection systems.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Emigrant Gap to Cisco Grove: Motorists can expect a single, narrow eastbound lane and delays of up to 20 minutes from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday A contractor is scheduled for paving work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at Emigrant Gap: Motorists can expect eastbound on and off ramp closures from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (12 noon on Thursday) Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do drainage work.

Interstate 80(Nevada County) from Donner Summit to Donner Lake: Work continues on the $71 million Donner III Project to improve Interstate 80. Work includes repaving the existing roadway with Portland Cement Concrete, reconstructing failed sections of roadway, adding new drainage systems, upgrading existing drainage systems and construction of a new sediment/debris collection system. Completion is expected in fall 2011.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at the Castle Peak and Donner Lake interchanges. Motorist can expect the eastbound on-ramp at Castle Peak and the eastbound off-ramp to Donner Lake closed through October 14 for reconstruction.

Interstate 80(Nevada/Sierra Counties) Eastbound from Truckee River Bridge to State Line: Work has completed on a $1.7 million concrete barrier project, along Interstate 80, east of Truckee. The project will replace existing guardrail with permanent concrete barrier at seven locations. Work on the project will be completed by June 30, 2011.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) at the Brighton Street overcrossing in Grass Valley: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled for bridge repairs.

State Route 20/49 (Nevada County) at Brunswick Road: Motorists can expect various lane and ramp closures at the northbound on and off-ramps from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled for striping operations.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from the Yuba County line to the Interstate 80 junction: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. A Caltrans maintenance crew is scheduled for miscellaneous work.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) at Harmony Ridge Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do overhead utility work.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) near the Bear River Bridge: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control form 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled for drainage work.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) at the Interstate 80 Junction: Motorists can expect east and westbound intermittent lane and ramp closures from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. (Motorists can expect up to 15 minute delays) A contractor is scheduled for bridge work.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) from the Bear River Bridge to Yuba County Line: Motorists can expect north and southbound lane closures from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans maintenance crew is scheduled for miscellaneous work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from Sierraville to the Plumas County Line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans maintenance crew is scheduled for mowing.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from Goodyear Bar to the Yuba Pass: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled for cleaning ditches.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Yuba Gap to Kingvale: Motorists can expect intermittent east and westbound lane closures from 6:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do guardrail repair.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Newcastle to Gold Run: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. A contractor is scheduled to do grinding and paving work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) between Kingvale and Donner Lake: Motorists can expect intermittent east and westbound lane closures from 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. A Caltrans maintenance crew is scheduled for guardrail repair work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from the California Agricultural Inspection Station to the Truckee River Bridge: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane and shoulder closures from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled for shoulder work and crack sealing operations.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from the Donner Park Overcrossing to the Truckee River Canyon: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled for shoulder work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at Eagle Lake Road: Motorists can expect an eastbound full ramp closure from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do pavement work.

State Route 89 (Nevada County) from Interstate 80 to Rainbow Drive: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled for utility work.

State Route 89 (Sierra County) from Wilson Lane to Westside Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do ditch cleaning.

State Route 174 (Nevada County) from the Bear River Bridge to Auburn Street / State Route 174: Motorists can expect east and westbound lane closures from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans maintenance crew is scheduled for miscellaneous work.

State Route 267 (Nevada County) from Brockway Road to Soaring Way: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled for grinding and paving.

State Route 267 (Placer County) from Northstar Drive to Brockway Summit: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. (10 a.m. on Thursday) Monday through Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to clear slopes.
