Hit and run case re-scheduled, again

The early settlement conference for Joseph Santen, the Tahoe City man charged on suspicion of the murder of a North Tahoe man, has been re-scheduled again.

The court hearing was originally scheduled for Oct. 30, but has been delayed until Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. Either a preliminary hearing date will be scheduled or a settlement will be reached at the conference, Deputy District Attorney Bill Doyle said in a previous interview with the Sun.

Santen is charged on suspicion of murder, gross vehicular manslaughter and drunken driving in the death of cyclist Brad Reilly on July 16.
