– Lions Club Rummage Fund-raiser – beginning at 9 a.m. on May 29 and 30 at the Truckee-Donner Public Utility District parking lot located on Donner Pass Road.
– Truckee Home and Building Show – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 29 and 30 at Tahoe-Truckee High School, $2 admission.
– Camp Fire Kids Rummage Sale – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 29 and 30 at Truckee Elementary School.
– Lake Tahoe Charities arts and crafts fund-raiser – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 29,30,31 at the Truckee River Regional Park.
– Services canceled – The Veterans of Foreign Wars regret they will not hold Memorial Day Services this year at the Sierra Mountain Cemetery.
– Alpine Meadows – Memorial Day Luau party to kick off the summer. Alpine remains open for skiing on weekends during June. For information, call 581-8374.

May 27 update: Nevada County COVID-19 cases rise by 46
Nevada County recorded 46 new COVID-19 cases on Friday making the new total 16,570. There were 191 active cases, 16,239 people released from isolation, three people hospitalized locally and 140 total deaths.
