Horne endorses McClintock’s expected run for Congress
Nevada County Supervisor Sue Horne has endorsed state Sen. Tom McClintock for John Doolittle’s Congressional seat, even before McClintock has made his run official.
McClintock (R-Thousand Oaks) is expected to join the race for the 4th District Assembly seat as early as next week.
“Senator McClintock has a long-standing track record of fighting for California’s taxpayers and delivering results,” Horne said in a statement Friday. “In Congress, he will continue this fight ” reining in government spending and rampant government waste.”
Horne is running for the 3rd District state Assembly seat being left vacant by John Keene (R-Chico) because of term limits. Horne’s GOP opponent in the June primary is Yuba County Supervisor Dan Logue.
Doolittle said in January he will not seek re-election.
Richard Anderson, who has represented Truckee and eastern Nevada County’s District 5 since first being elected in 2012, has announced he will not seek re-election in 2020.
