Hospital bond vote nears close

Results from the mail-in election for Tahoe Forest Hospital District’s $100 million bond measure should be available shortly after 8 p.m. tonight, according to Nevada and Placer County officials.

County registrars will collect Measure C votes and make fresh ballots available today in Tahoe City and Truckee.

Placer County will place a drop-off box at the Fairway Community Center in Tahoe City from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well make extra ballots available.



Nevada County has set up a ballot box at the clerk’s office in the Truckee Town Hall, and provisional ballots will be available at the Truckee clerk’s office today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Nevada County Elections Office has reported about 3,200 ballots collected as of Monday morning, with Placer County reporting about 2,900 ballots received.



Semi-official results will be available on both http://www.mynevadacounty.com and http://www.placer.ca.gov tonight, with official results available after all provisional ballots are counted in the next few weeks, according to county officials.

Results will also be posted on http://www.sierrasun.com as soon as they are available.
