Humane Society seeks board members

The Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe (HSTT) is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets through adoptions, community spay/neuter services, and humane education programs. The group follows a strict policy of adopting out every healthy adoptable animal received.The Humane Societys long-term goal is to build and operate a public animal shelter and education facility. To that end, the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe will soon begin its capital campaign to raise the necessary funds.With the continued growth of the regional community and increased capacity for animals in the Humane Society shelter, the organization is excited to expand its board of directors as well.HSTT seeks board representation from the community served with the following qualifications: A passion for the cause Contacts in the community The desire & ability to raise funds A great team player Skills such as governance, financial, legal Time to commit to the organization requiring regular attendance at monthly board meetings and HSTT events Those interested please request an application.
