WELLS, Nev. (AP) ” Two people were killed in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 about 10 miles west of Wells, authorities said.

Joshua Warner, 21, of Carson City, and Hannah Puente, 19, of Reno, were pronounced dead at the scene Saturday, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

Warner was behind the wheel when his westbound vehicle drifted off the roadway, hit a road marker, went down an embankment and rolled several times, troopers said.

Investigators said it appears both occupants were wearing seat belts.

The 7 a.m. accident is under investigation.
