Incline Village Crystal Bay SkyShow Coalition extends gratitude for July 4 SkyShow

IVCB SkyShow Coalition

The second annual Incline Village Crystal Bay July 4th SkyShow was an overwhelming success thanks to our community and our partners. On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the more than 6,000 residents and visitors who attended this year’s event, and the many donors who helped us raise close to $150,000 to keep this event cost-free for our community. The sense of communal camaraderie that filled the air was truly inspiring (not to mention the outstanding potato sack races), reminding us of the incredible bond we share in this beautiful region.

As the Coalition’s second year of hosting this event, we were able to add additional entertainment and dining options beyond our elevated drone and laser show (including food trucks, MC, additional sound, face painters and more) to create a fun, family focused atmosphere.

Amongst the organizing committee, our shared mission is not only to promote the unparalleled beauty and recreational opportunities of North Lake Tahoe but also to safeguard and preserve this precious environment for generations to come. And while we all recognize that change is hard, we also must recognize that we all will be asked to make tough decisions as we look for solutions to manage and protect this beautiful destination. While most of you have seen the viral video of the trash-strewn beaches at other Lake Tahoe locations; our event generated a minimal amount of trash as everyone treated the space and each other with respect. This was a small step toward responsible stewardship of our environment and it was deeply encouraging to see the commitment of our community.

We welcome your involvement in how we can continue to grow this event in the years to come and create an even better experience to celebrate the founding of our Nation in our wonderful and unique corner of Lake Tahoe.

Together, we can create a North Lake Tahoe that remains a pristine and breathtaking haven for all to enjoy. We are deeply grateful for the shared effort to make this year’s event a success.

Until next year.
