SOUTH LAKE TAHOE ” A strong high-pressure ridge aloft will bring unseasonably mild daytime temperatures to the Tahoe area this week.
After a chilly start this morning, afternoon temperatures will climb into the lower 60s under sunny skies and light winds.
Lows tonight will dip back into the 20s as clear skies and low humidities allow for maximum nocturnal cooling.
High temperatures are expected to bounce back even warmer on Tuesday, with daytime readings in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Tuesday’s highs are forecast to be about 15 degrees above the seasonal normal for this date and may be near record highs for Oct. 23. Enjoy the day at the lake or on the trail, and don’t forget the sunscreen.
