Intrawest project on schedule

OLYMPIC VALLEY – Construction of the Village at Squaw Valley by Intrawest is reported to be on schedule.

“It looks like we’re full on schedule to open next winter,” said Lynn Everling with Intrawest Squaw Corporation.

According to Everling, the grand opening of the first phase of the Village at Squaw should coincide with the return of the Olympic torch when it passes through Squaw Valley on its way to Salt Lake City, Utah.

The second phase of the Village, 22-Station, should go on sale this spring.

“In the next month or so a mailing should be sent out,” said Everling.

After the mailing is sent, deposits can be made to reserve homes in the Village at Squaw.

Earlier this spring the first phase, First Accent, sold out in six hours. The 139 homes sold in an event in the South San Francisco Conference Center earned nearly $73 million.

As far as the commercial properties, Intrawest is currently signing leases for the first phase.
