Jacqueline Rae (Crosbie) Dodge – June 8, 1972 – Sept. 20, 2010

Jacqui Dodge passed away suddenly on September 20, 2010.

Jacqui was a loving and caring mother, sister, daughter, friend and human being. Her sudden and unexpected death has shocked everyone who knew her and everyone she touched.

Jacqui grew up in the Tahoe-Truckee area. She graduated from Tahoe-Truckee High School with Honors; and then received her undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada at Reno, where she later earned a master’s degree in Social Work.

Jacqui went on to become a grief counselor in the Seattle area, and then moved to Phoenix to work with Hospice of Valley, where she worked for the last 10 years. She dedicated her life and her energy to her two boys, and to the service of others during the most difficult times of their lives.

Jacqui is survived by her two young boys, her three sisters, her boys’ father, her mother, her father and a large extended family. Her mission in life was to always lead by example and to put her family, friends and neighbors first – and she lived that way every single day. Jacqui was a humble, honest, soft-spoken, warm, compassionate and extraordinary human being. Her laugh was infectious, and she always had a sparkle in her eyes. Her beauty was unparalleled, and only exceeded by her infinitely giving and loving nature. She will be remembered forever as an angel and inspiration to all of her family and friends.

Services will be at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, located at 7851 North Kingswood Drive off Highway 267 in Kings Beach, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations for her two boys. Checks may be written to “Boys of Jacqui Dodge Fund” and either hand delivered to any Wells Fargo branch (where they can look up account number), or sent to the following address: Boys of Jacqui Dodge Fund, c/o Wells Fargo; 4009 East Madison Street; Seattle, WA 98112.
