Joerger development to be reintroduced

After a favorable reception from the Truckee Planning Commission, a reconfigured Joerger Ranch development will go to the town council Thursday night, July 3, for review.

The Joerger Ranch project, situated on both sides of Brockway Road and Highway 267, received critical remarks from council members and the planning commission in April of 2007. Since then, the proponents reconfigured the 71-acre project, which at one point proposed a shopping center anchored by a Raley’s supermarket.

While no decisions will be made Thursday, town council will learn about changes to the residential and commercial layout in the project during a regular meeting at town hall starting at 6 p.m.
