TRUCKEE, Calif. — Karen Norris has joined Dickson Realty’s Truckee office as a commercial real estate and business broker.

Norris has more than 30 years of experience as a certified public accountant and 15 years of experience as a certified valuation analyst and commercial broker.

“Karen’s skill set as a certified public accountant and a certified valuation analyst adds another layer of expertise and credibility to her role as a business broker,” Lil Schaller, broker/manager of Dickson Realty’s Truckee office, said in a statement. “I do not believe there are many commercial real estate agents handling these types of transactions.”

Prior to moving to the Truckee-Tahoe region in 2012, Norris, who has been a certified public accountant since 1981, owned and operated a tax and accounting firm for 22 years in Baltimore.

During her 30-year career in Baltimore, Norris developed a specialty in medical/dental accounting and brokerage, assisting hundreds of professionals in their tax and accounting needs as well as buying and selling their businesses.

Norris is a member of the California Association of Realtors, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
