Lake Tahoe controlled burns expected to continue Monday
LAKE TAHOE and#8212; U.S. Forest Service fuels management crews conducted prescribed burns in Slaughterhouse Canyon on Lake Tahoe’s East Shore Sunday. They are expected to continue Monday.
The project could continue throughout the week if favorable weather conditions persist. The Forest Service aims to complete 245 acres.
State and local fire management agencies may also be conducting prescribed fire work during this period.
Residents and visitors can expect to see smoke from fire project areas.
