Lake Tahoe tops Orbitz list for best early ski destinations

CHICAGO and#8212; Lake Tahoe is the No. 1 place to get your early ski or snowboard on, according to Orbitz.
Orbitz.com unveiled its top 10 early ski destinations today, offering preseason snow seekers some insight to book destinations before peak season begins.

The once and current king of the early ski season is Lake Tahoe, which also topped last yearand#8217;s in-season list of top ski destinations.
Colorado again makes the most appearances of any state with five destinations, led by Breckenridge at No. 3 overall. Orbitz bent the rules a bit for its only non-U.S. entrant and#8212; Whistler, in British Columbia, Canada and#8212; due to its size, scope and popularity as a top destination for the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
