Lake Tahoe weather: Summer will be in full swing this weekend

TRUCKEE/TAHOE and#8212; After a Friday that will stay generally blustery, summer should fully arrive this weekend in the Lake Tahoe Basin, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.

Light rain is expected off and on Friday, but a high temperature of 76 and sunny skies are expected Saturday. On Sunday, summer should really hit strong, with a high temperature of 84 degrees expected.

Temperatures should hover in the low- to mid-70s all week next week. Below is an extended forecast from http://www.noaa.gov.



Friday night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. West wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph.



Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 53. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 5 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56.

Monday: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a high near 81.

Monday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 72.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 72.
