LAKE TAHOE and#8212; A treacherous forecast of snow and rain has prompted officials to issue winter weather advisory from 4 p.m. today to 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The National Weather Service in Reno issued the advisory today at 6 a.m. when meteorologists detected a storm front moving across Lassen County toward the Tahoe Basin.
