Lakers make state

The North Tahoe High football team landed three players on the Northern 2A All-State first team and two players on the second team. Several players made All-League for offense and defense.
James Laughlin was voted by coaches to the first team on both the offensive and defensive line. Joe Erman made the first team at linebacker and Ryan Blount as a punter.
Erman also made the second team at running back, as did Brent Marple. Eddie Longo was voted to the second team at tight end.
Earning honorable mention recognition were Morgan Chambers on both the offensive and defensive line, Blount at quarterback and Marple as a return specialist.

Punter: Ryan Blount ” North Tahoe
Running back: Joe Erman ” North Tahoe
Defensive linemen: Morgan Chambers ” North Tahoe
Return specialist: Brent Marple ” North Tahoe
MVP: Phil Schmith, Pershing; Armando Gonzales, Pershing; James Roberts, Yerington
Offensive Player of the Year: Karl Fredericks, Pershing
Defensive Player of the Year: Sean Watson, Yerington; Chris Quintana, Pershing
Lineman of the Year: Marcus Fuller, Rite of Passage
