The North Tahoe High softball team won three of four games in the preseason Yerington Tournament this past weekend.
Pitchers Christina Lane and Shea Mesa each threw two games apiece.
The Lakers beat Whittell 7-5 in the only game against a team in their new league, the Northern 2A.
North Tahoe also beat Smith Valley 7-6 and Mammoth 23-4, and lost to Tonopah, 6-5.
“The girls obviously did a pretty good job,” said first-year head coach Richard Mesa. “It was the first time they’d seen dirt (this season), so there were a few errors. But overall they did well.”
