Legacy Trail to be closed for paving

Sun staff report

TRUCKEE ” Paving begins Monday on the Truckee River Legacy Trail.

The town is starting paving on the section of the Legacy Trail from the Regional Park to the Riverview Sports Park on Monday, meaning the foot and bicycle path will be closed until about July 3.

Two spurs from the Legacy Trail to Ranch Way and the East River Street pedestrian bridge will also be paved at the same time.

Soft-surface, decomposed granite shoulders will also be built along the trail for users who prefer not to run or ride on hard pavement.
