Letter to the Editor: Humans are not native to this area either

Are beavers native to the area? A few years ago the and#8220;non- nativeand#8221; beavers were and#8220;eradicatedand#8221; from Martis Creek so that non-native European gentry could whack a little dimpled ball around Martis Camp.

We, as the human race, attempt to control the populations of virtually every other species on the planet but our own. As long as this endures we will continue to move into areas inhabited by non-humans and hire and#8220;paper expertsand#8221; (those with a diploma on the wall that they earned from sitting inside four walls) to declare those already residing there overpopulated and killed or run off the land … just as the Europeans did to the American Indians. Sad, sad, sad.
