Letter to the Editor: Shame on Placer County for killing beavers
I would like to express my outrage and disgust over the needless and cruel deaths of the Griff Creek beavers. The threat of flooding and damage to vehicles by falling trees seems to be an egregious exaggeration, and relocating the beavers was, of course, the humane option.
Instead, Placer County callously decided to snuff out innocent life in a brutal and horrific manner, right in the neighborhood of impressionable school children. This mentality is inexcusable and certainly shouldnand#8217;t be tolerated in our local government. Tax dollars should not fund the murder of wildlife but support it.
Shame, Shame on Placer County.
