Letter to the Editor: Sierra Sun was wrong to print Henrikson story

I find it appalling that the Sierra Sun would print the recent article regarding Erik Henrikson. The entire story is based on unproven allegations; some of these from an elderly man, some regarding a sister now deceased who cannot speak for herself and another from a sister who may have family issues with her brother.

My husband and I have known Erik for a long time. We seriously doubt the truth of any of this. We, of course, do not know the facts. But you, Sierra Sun, do not know the facts, either. Yet you feel free to print a story that will ruin a man’s reputation.

I personally know of suicides and crimes, including rapes, that have occurred in our community. These stories have never appeared in the Sierra Sun. Please ask yourself why you choose to print this.
