Mind warp! For some reason I was drawn to read Mr. Sweigertand#8217;s recent commentary, and#8220;Renegade lives up to his name.and#8221;

His partisan babbling was as devoid of coherent, insightful thought as are the other commentaries of his that I have read. I find it especially ironic that the only point he seems to be trying make and#8212; is he trying to make a point? and#8212; is that the president shouldnand#8217;t call the American people lazy, but then he goes on to call supporters of the President and#8220;blind … zombies.and#8221;

He says that he is just pointing out (the presidentand#8217;s) random, awkward ad libs, and goes on to say, and#8220;Itand#8217;s not healthy to … believe … no one should … criticize (the president).and#8221;

A well thought out criticism of President Obama, that speaks to issues that are important to our local community, would be a worthwhile feature in our local paper. Unfortunately, Mr. Sweigertand#8217;s random, awkward ad libs are an insult to our intelligence.

I do hope that the Sierra Sun will consider replacing his column with one that meets a higher standard of quality.
