Letter to the Editor: Tahoe’s beauty truly runs deep

I came to Tahoe on summer break during college in 1981 and fell in love with its beauty. As soon as I graduated from college in 1982, I moved to Tahoe and began my amazing future. I built my business, found and married my true love, Mark, and gave birth to my two sons. My family and I were blessed to be living in Tahoe.

On Sept. 22, 2012, my whole life changed when my husband Mark was killed in a motorcycle accident, and from that day, our North Shore community has come out and supported us with open arms. You come to Tahoe for its beauty, but the community is truly what makes you stay here.

The love and support was overwhelming. North Shore may be made up of small individual towns, but when it’s needed it becomes one very big community. I am proud to be a Tahoe Local and I thank the community (friends, neighbors, clients, co-workers, store clerks, postal workers, etc.) for all their support.
