Afiara Quartet will visit schoolsThe Afiara String Quartet will again visit the Truckee-Tahoe community, sponsored by the Lake Tahoe Music Festival Educational Outreach Program Oct. 1 through 4. The quartet will perform at school-wide assemblies for Truckee, Glenshire, Tahoe Lake, and Kings Beach Elementaries, and Incline Middle School. On Saturday, Oct. 4, local string musicians are invited to attend String Day with the Afiara String Quartet at Truckee Elementary School, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. the Afiara String Quartet will perform at Moodys Restaurant, downtown Truckee as part of the Wine Walk and Shop.
